This weeks featured Indiana home does not disappoint. I love featuring Beautiful Indiana area homes that real Indiana families live in, with simple design ideas that we all can recreate in our own homes.
This adorable bungalow is located on Indianapolis‘ Far East Side and sits on several acres with a fully stocked pond. The Morton family calls this 4 bedroom, 2 and a half bath home with their lovable dog Shaggy.
From the moment you walk in the back door of this charming home you are greeted with friendly smiles and the sweet aroma of baked goods and yummy fall scents. This home lives by the saying “Back door guests are best”, as you step right into their inviting gourmet kitchen. The homes owner Aimee and I joked about how they never use their front door and she wasn’t sure what her front porch looked like when I asked to take a photo out there. Turns out it looked just fine.
A few things to note about the kitchen; besides the to die for professional grade stainless range and fridge, don’t miss the pumpkin that every Star Wars fan needs in their kitchen. Also, the last photo is of a special cabinet shelf that holds Aimee’s most precious treasures. It holds several of the special crafts and gifts that her 4 children have given her over the years. So sweet!
This gorgeous light filled space is the perfect spot for entertaining, having a family meal, and countless hours of studying and homework.
I absolutely love the pops of bright green in this room. It’s so cozy and looks like the perfect spot to snuggle up and watch a movie and enjoy your favorite snack.
The mix of old and new is what makes this home so inviting and unique. When I asked Aimee what she liked best about her home she said, “I have always said home is where my family is, but the icing on the cake was the day we stepped into our 100 year old home 5 Years ago and I immediately felt this was my favorite place to bring my family home too.” I think that says it all, and her love of her home and family shines all over this house.
I hope you enjoyed this look inside another beautiful Indiana home. I’d like to thank Cleve and Aimee Morton for letting us stop by and peek into their world. If you ever find yourself in need of home restoration services you should give Cleve and Aimee a call at Total Restoration in Indianapolis. They do an amazing job as you can see from their own home.
I hope you’ll stop back to take a look inside more amazing Indiana homes, I have several lined up in the coming months that I know your going to love. Blessings to you all.
